About Me
MY NAME IS MALIK JELANI WILLIAMS.
I’m a storyteller at heart—working across film, music, and live experiences to explore faith, identity, and the quiet moments that shape who we become. My love for music and media started early, growing up in a family full of creatives and musicians who unintentionally trained my ear and imagination before I ever knew what to call it.
That foundation led me to study Recording Arts, graduating from Full Sail University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science. While music was the entry point, sharing knowledge and collaborating with friends along the way sparked a deeper curiosity for film and video editing. To me, it’s where sound, story, and emotion collide in a different but equally powerful way.
Today, my work lives at the intersection of creativity and conviction. I’m drawn to stories that feel human (sometimes uncomfortable, often hopeful, always honest). Whether I’m directing short films, producing music, or building experiences with teams and communities, I care just as much about the process as the final product: intentional collaboration, thoughtful execution, and creating space for people to bring their full selves to the work.
I don’t create to chase trends or attention. I create because there are stories that won’t leave me alone—and I’ve learned to stop running from them.
